As Time Goes By

Napoli Part 4 (Poppi)

When we finally got back to the school is was dark and we all hiked up the massive hill to our rooms, dragging our luggage behind us. Pretty much we fell asleep as soon as we hit the beds. Didn’t wake up until noon the next day. Once I woke up, it was my plan to do homework. I didn’t. Instead I checked my facebook, then my e-mail, then my other e-mail. Then my web-mail… Then I picked up my laundry. Then we went to lunch, packed, and left for Poppi at 4. The bus ride was a good two and half hours, and when we stopped, we were seriously in the middle of nowhere. We were informed that the bus could go no further, and we would have to walk the rest of the way. It was seven miles. And very long. When we actually got to the camp, it was dark. I got the key to our cabin and wandered through the forest looking for our number. I found it about 15 minutes later, and threw my stuff on some shelves and went to bed. So did everyone else. The next morning was Saturday and we had Sabbath school and church and ate some yummy food. Then we had communion and went on a hike. It was wet and cold and rainy, but it felt very nice after all the heat we experienced in Napoli. We went to the top of a mountain where there was a pretty church and we sang songs and had a sermon, then we took a group picture and played some games and took more pictures. That was fun. Then we hiked back down, had lunch, sang songs in the chapel and I went and took a 4 hour nap. When I woke up it was supper time, so I headed down to eat, ate, talked to people, arranged a movie night, and watched a movie in our cabin that night. … Sunday breakfast was gross and cold as breakfasts usually are, and with fake coffee to boot…. And then we all packed up and hiked the full 7 miles back to the bus. It was a two and a half hour ride back to the school, and when we got there, we no longer felt rested from our rest, and it was back to school the next day. In this blog: 1.) The church at the top of the hill. 2.) View of the city/castle while walking back down the hill to the bus.
