Cinque Terre
Oh my sweet goodness. I cannot wait until September! As Katie and I were saying yesterday, I’m so jealous of me! Future me that is. I want to be me in 4 months NOW! Pretty please?
It’s going to be so completely exciting. We’re going to be IN Italy, speaking Italian, seeing Italian things, breathing Italian air. Oh yay. And we get to go on cultural “tours” like, every weekend.
From what I understand, Professor Parra (my Italian instructor) said the first place we get to tour is Cinque Terra.
Behold it’s amazingness!!!
In English the name translates to “The Five Lands.” It really is five cities. Well, actually villiages. They are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. They are all so adorable and not-modern. I think i’m going to love them.
Haha. Dad is worried about me falling in love with Italian boys. He really should be worried about me falling in love with towns and coffee. That’s much more likely.
P.S. As a little update, due to very dumb circumstances, it is currently MAY of 2010 and I STILL have not been to Cinque Terre.
